1976 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe. Acquired from the second owner, sold due to illness. Reportedly had been garaged kept for most of its life, excepting the last few years. Store at a local shop and not driven. In that short time weather cause some rust issues. Car starts, runs, drives and stops. Will need some routine service for daily driving. Right side turn signal not working. Otherwise looks like it will pass safety inspections. No picture of underneath, but we looked close on a lift and it's as clean and rust free you'll find in that area. Body is straight, no signs of accidents. It was said to be repainted in the 80's. Not the best at that time and is in need again. Rust issues are as follows" Lower front fenders behind the wheel (worst is shown is a pic), Rust at the rear corners of the vinyl top. (right side is through, left is not), Just beginning on the lower rea quarters behind the wheel (not too bad, just starting, can't really see in the pics), Light starting in the rear wheel arches (molding still holding in place), Spots on the roof edges above the roof rail trim (repairable). Some rust in the trunk with a few minor holes (repairable). Cause form the leak at the right corner of the top. There's some oxidation rust on the bumpers and grille (could clean up to be acceptable for most. Vinyl top has cracks. No major mechanical issues to note. A family member of the last owner was a mechanic and the car had regular maintenance. I did notice fluid on the floor, where the pics were taken. There is a drip from the power steering pump. It has a 500 Cubic Inch engine, Front wheel drive. No major fluid leaks. Exhaust manifold gaskets are blown out, rear bolts appear broken. Some noise on accel, otherwise quiet. Starts as it should Still drives down the road. I noticed a flat spot on initial accel. I know these cars well. It's a minor carb issue, can be corrected with a rebuild. Engine runs very smooth. Engine bay is "as found, super clean for a vintage car. Tires are decent good tread, They have been sitting. Some life left, in my opinion, at least for local driving. A/C not working, compressor is disconnected. Not sure what that might entail. Radio presently not working along with the antenna. (could be just fuse). Haven't checked the cruise control. Wipers, power windows and locks work, no issues. Interior is what it is. You can see the obvious attention needed to the driver seat and door panels. You can't see under the felt dash cover. There are cracks in the dash pad and need replacement to restore. Overall, a very good candidate for restoration.
